Copyright Policy
Effective date: September 21, 2026
JupyterDocs respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses the Service to do the same. This policy explains what we ask of uploaders and how to report content you believe infringes your rights.
1. What we ask of uploaders
When you upload a document, you're confirming that you have the right to share it — because you created it, it's your own notes or coursework, or you otherwise have permission to distribute it. Every upload goes through admin review before it's published, but review doesn't guarantee every piece of content is free of infringement, so we also rely on reports from rights holders and users.
2. Reporting infringing content
If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without authorization, you have two options:
Quick option: Use the "Report" button on the resource's page and choose "Copyright infringement" as the reason. This goes straight to our moderation queue.
Formal option: Email us at jupyterdocs@gmail.com with:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The specific JupyterDocs resource (title and/or URL) you're reporting.
- Your contact information (name and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
3. What happens next
We review copyright reports and, where warranted, remove or disable access to the reported content. We may notify the uploader that their content was removed and why. Accounts with repeated, substantiated copyright violations may be permanently deactivated.
4. Counter-notice
If your own upload was removed and you believe that was a mistake — for example, because you do hold the rights, or your use is authorized — contact us at jupyterdocs@gmail.com with an explanation and any supporting evidence. We'll review it and restore the content if appropriate.
